About business and organization

At one point in time every entrepreneur and inventor faces the question of choosing the proper business environment for implementing their brilliant ideas. This decision has many variables to be considered, including: taxation laws, private property protection laws, import export and international trade laws, availability of venture capital, general political and economic situation in the region, presence of other businesses and relevant educational institutions, languages spoken in the region, geographical location, transportation system, accessibility of customers, and so on and so forth.

Business model

The main business of the Public Platform is business itself. We create a transparent environment for the production and management of businesses. Our market can be defined as the market of socio-economic models and enterprise ecosystems which currently have national borders and are formed by the countries and their unions. Good examples of competitive ecosystems are China, USA, European Union or the recently formed Community of Latin American and Caribbean States.

On the other hand, all world cultural and socio-economic processes are moving towards globalization and integration in a holistic cross-border multi-national environment with new definitions and standards. This trend actually creates a new market of integrated economic spaces. Our project aims to be at the forefront of this trend and provides a strategy for a smooth entry and dominance into the market during the decade.

The profit model of the Public Platform can be described as cooperative franchising. Those who participate in the modeling of business processes will receive royalties from the enterprise profits of the appropriate sub-network. There are three main cash inflows:

·         Business network profits: a certain percentage of the profits of all businesses in the network are distributed according to certain rules among investors and participants of Union.

·         Crowd funding[1] and philanthropy: ongoing fundraising is organized within the scope of the social network of integrated community centers. This funding targets socially purposeful initiatives and in the future will be integrated with Online Portal.

·         Venture capital: a constant inflow of venture capital is needed to expand the business network; in fact, the business platform plays the role of broker between investors and entrepreneurs. In the long term, the Banking branch will enable ordinary people to make investments in the business network, making them even more interested in the success of the modelled businesses.

The model of the profit distribution among the elements of the public business ecosystem is non-trivial and has many degrees of freedom. The model will be developed during the entire SPROUT phase, which takes three years. A basic fundamental point here is that the profits will be shared fairly with people who participated in modeling and development of the business.

The target audience of our business product are active members of society and in particular, investors, entrepreneurs, inventors and professionals. A more detailed view on the interaction between the various groups is given in the complete copy of the business proposal. In addition, all of humanity forms a secondary target audience, which is actually a target audience of businesses which operate in our business environment. The formation of this audience is actively promoted by our primary target audience.

Current status and needs

This business proposal is our first major conceptual compilation of the Public Union and Public Platform. This was preceded by years of independent analysis and research in various fields. We believe we have the necessary global vision, sufficient to build a successful strategy. We have a large variety of close connections with networks and communities which allows us to quickly initiate the creation of our own community around our website.

We do not have any technological or financial resources. We believe that there are enough available and accessible resources which can be mobilized relatively quickly. The true value is not in them, but in the trust from the side of the people. This project should be taken literally as the Public Union which brings together the creative potential of all people. Our contribution consists in maintaining the projects holistic vision throughout its evolutional development while assembling an adequate team of professionals to carry out all processes as efficiently and effectively as possible.

We distinguish three branches, which are strategically cohesive, but financially and legally separated: Platform branch, Pioneers branch and Banking branch. They will be integrated into a single legal structure in the course of a few years. This business proposal mainly relates to the Platform branch. The Pioneers branch is ready to start with its own business plan, while the Banking branch is forthcoming.

The development plan of the project involves three phases: SEED (six months of preparation), SPROUT (three years of product development and autocratic expansion of the business network), and STALK (two to three years to achieve critical mass in open conditions of meritocracy). We are interested in establishing firm, long-term relationships with investors and we look forward to assistance in the formation of the board of directors as well as subsequent close cooperation in the field of governance and management. We are completely open to criticism and advice, along with reasonable changes to the plan and its execution. Let's invent the future together. :-)

Open innovation

By applying the open source paradigm to the process of business modelling, we innovate the process of innovation itself. As the dissemination of open source software commoditizes technology, with the maturity of our open source platform we commoditize such elements as creativity, trust, technologic integration and access to various networks of people and businesses.

In a world where everything is a commodity[2], entrepreneurs can actualize disruptive ideas faster than ever before. The “time-to-market” cycle becomes non-existent, as early stage ideas are put into the marketplace portal, instantly becoming commodities. We instead focus on the “idea actualization” cycle, which becomes streamlined in a truly collaborative and entrepreneurial atmosphere. We dissolve the border between a business incubator and the real environment. The business idea instantly enters the process of validation and development with the participation of other entrepreneurs and communities while accessing the integrated platform services and shared network resources. This access to resources is regulated by an intelligent system of public ratings and earned merits. On top of that, we strive to utilize local available resources with higher priority, thus supporting local economies.

Open competition

An important role in this business environment is played by the open cooperative competition. On the one hand, the goal of an integrated ecosystem is to protect its participants’ initiatives from corporate syndicates and monopolies, while catalyzing the network effects of the external market. On the other hand, the businesses within the ecosystem are in a state of complete transparency and free competition.

Many authors today write that competition is not natural to man, and that it should be abandoned in favor of cooperation. Such a position is adequate, but limited and does not cover the true essence of the problem. We believe that the root of the problem is not in competition, but in the worldview of people who participate in competition. It is the inhuman treatment to each other which is unnatural for human beings. Competition itself is just a tool, which has significant potential.

We advocate a new kind of competition. One that is free, friendly and honest. In fact, such competition is itself a type of cooperation. There is no place for fighting to win, aggressively displacing competitors and redistributing areas of the market. The essence of healthy competition is not to win and gain power or wealth of an isolated group of people, but rather to improve oneself, to come to the truth and the most useful outcome for society, to evolve at the level of the whole team, called «humanity».

In healthy competition, motivation is not about winning, but rather about one’s desire to benefit others by creating variety as a value ​​and the contrast necessary for recognizing delusions and realizing truth. Competition is a mechanism for understanding one’s mastery. One’s attitude towards an opponent develops into true gratitude for the opportunity to serve others, to improve one-self.

The success of implementing a new idea does not elevate its authors above the rest. All failures and successes are considered as a contribution to the body of progress. And the very notion of «elevating» someone over someone else is imposed by the pernicious ideological concept of «divide and conquer».

In the case of the large-scale adoption of this paradigm, society becomes stronger economically, technologically, spiritually, and morally. Open competition in a completely transparent environment is a propelling force behind creation and creativity, and a stimulator for overall growth, progress and diversity.

The Humane worldview underlies our whole project and therefore its definition is of high importance. Our definition is certainly not perfect, but it’s crystalized enough for starting the project.

Many good people are sceptical about the success of spreading this humane worldview in our "falling" society. Such attitude is quite normal and adequate, considering that our current society is programmed to disbelief in the power of man. But we should take into account the specifics of social processes. We do not need to propagate the idea of ​​Public Union among all people. It is enough to propagate it only among 5-10% of the active population. In fact, all we need is quality information distribution, because there is a huge mass of people in the world who are in state of «searching» and are ready to accept the ideas of unity. Furthermore, the effects of auto-synchronization will take place. It is also popularly known as «the effect of the 100th monkey».

The question is: what is Unity? Unity is often confused with uniformity. Unity is the inner nature of every soul, like the unity of the seven musical notes; this is the unity of Human nature. Unity is the goal and uniformity is the means of reaching that goal, but often the means has obscured the purpose. All through the ages the different religions, which have been given to man for his spiritual development with the sole idea of unity have gradually become a kind of community or nationality. Many people who belong to a Church accept its dogmas, claim a certain name for their religion, and consider all other children of God as separate; by doing so they lose the very seed of wisdom for whose development that religion was given. This error has existed from the beginning, and instead of touching the true spirit, people have lost reality by seeking a false objective[4].

Today the world is moving toward uniformity, and very often it takes away the beauty of life: uniform fashion, the architecture of houses, the style of music and literature, etc. The goal of the Public Union is to thrive for diversity while moving towards Unity so as to enhance the unique qualities of each individual and to provide conflict-free, harmonious interaction of different cultures, religions and ethnic groups.
